WWWF GRUDGE MATCH

My brain hurts!

Damn! I wished I'd thought of that...

We aren't doing new matches anymore! But, hey, if you want to send something in, knock yourself out. There's always that 0.0001% chance that your idea will be so good that we have to start the site back up just so we can do it.

Had any good ideas lately? Yes? Well, that's good. Let's be more specific. Have you had any good ideas for a match? Did you and your friends come up with the perfect matchup one night? Itching to see your favorites prove themselves? Looking forward to seeing your nemesis take a deserving beating?

Good.

We here at WWWF Grudge Match are always looking for new match ideas. Though many of the matches we bring to you come from the commentators themselves, the majority are suggested by fans, just like you. And, as you might have guessed, it is the matches that are the driving force behind the WWWF. As long as we have good ideas, we will keep producing the top notch humor product that you have all come to know and love.

What are we looking for? Anything you think would work well in a match. Have a matchup you are dying to see? Drop us a line. Do you have a good contestant to use but can't come up with an opponent? Let us know and maybe we'll get inspired. Have a great plot idea that needs contestants? Wow us with your ideas. Best yet, do you have a full match complete with characters and a scenario? Knock our socks off.

So what do you have to do? Real simple. Just fill out the form below and send us your ideas (or if your browser doesn't support forms, send us an email). If we decide to use your ideas or use your match as inspiration for another match, you will get credit for it. The reward: your name up in lights with two free links of your choice with your name. And that's not all. You will also bring joy to WWWF fans everywhere who will think you are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Now the disclaimers...

First off, there are no guarantees that we will use your ideas. We have a very long list of matches and are usually scheduled months ahead of time. That means that even if we like your match, it may be a while before we get around to using it. If you really want to sell us on an idea, give us the reasonings behind the proposed match or even a draft scenario.

We currently receive about 250kb (in plain text) of suggestions and proposed scenarios every month, so more than likely, we have seen some of your ideas before. But do not let this stop you from making your voice heard. That idea that you are sure we had heard hundreds of times before may inspire the next great match. And we are always glad to have your input. Due to this volume, however, we cannot as a rule reply to your suggestions.

Finally, we have received a number of match suggestions that we have already done. Current WWWF Policy™ is to not remake any Grudge Match™, Ground Zero™, or CBUB® battles. However, we are open to the reuse of contestants, particularly if that contestant is used in a very different scenario than before (e.g. Death Star vs. Enterprise and then vs. John McClane). We are also open to using past competitions with new contestants. All CBUB contestants are fair game without hesitation on WWWF, however we would rather not duplicate any of their match-ups.

Before you send us your suggestion, use the search form below to search the WWWF and CBUB archives directly for any contestants you have in mind.

So send us your ideas. You'll be glad you did.

A Note for Anime and Comic Book fans: As a general rule, we do not do matches involving anime or comic-book-only characters, although we do use comic book and anime characters that have made the jump to more mainstream media (e.g. TV, movies) such as X-Men, Batman, Legion of Doom, Pokemon, etc. The Comic Book Universe Battles site (aka CBUB) is the leading web site for anime and comic book related matches, so head there to view their matches and to make suggestions in these categories.

The Legal Stuff ™

Ben Matlock Given the past success of WWWF Grudge Match, we could end up producing one or more projects (like another book) based on our website.

As part of any additional media distribution (referred to as "the Projects"), we wish to include a number of different e-mail messages we have received from YOU the internet surfer. In order to do this, however, we need your permission so that we can reprint or reuse any e-mail message(s) that you send to us in all editions and derivations of the Projects (including serializations) throughout the world, in all languages and in all media, whether now known or hereinafter devised, and in the advertising, publicity and promotion thereof.

"What's in it for me?"

Very good question. We fully realize that our current success and any future successes would have never happened without the input from our fans, so we're going to give two things back:
1.) If your message is included in the Projects, you will get credit IN THE PROJECTS (if you so desire).
2.) We will donate a portion of any royalties from the Projects to charity and we will do so in the name of the internet contributors.

"So what do I do?"

Another very good question. You need to do TWO things:
1.) If you are willing to grant us the permission requested above, click on "Yes" below. By clicking "Yes" you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
2.) In the "Sign message as" section, put exactly how you would like your credit to appear both on the page and in the Projects. You may put a name (real or alias), university or company, city and state, and/or an email address or homepage URL. If you leave nothing at the end of the message, your message would be listed anonymously in the Projects.

If you do not click "Yes" your submission may still be included in the on-line version of the Match, but will not be included in the Projects. Also, clicking "Yes" does not guarantee inclusion of your submission in any future match or in the Projects.

Sincerely yours,

Brian Wright and Steve Levine,
Dragon Hamster Productions, LLC

Will you allow us to use and/or print your suggestion in the Projects? Yes No

If you can't use the above form for technical reasons (and have actually tried and failed), then please email your suggestion to us at suggestions@grudge-match.com. Please send all of your suggestions in a single email. And PLEASE, no attachments (e.g. pictures).
There's no need to send your suggestions with both methods (form and email), and using one method over another won't give your idea preference or extra notice.
Be sure to use the form below to search the WWWF and CBUB archives before submitting your idea to check for matches involving any combatants you're considering (keeping in mind the above disclaimers).
